POMEROY–The Pomeroy Gun Club members enjoyed some shooting and good results at a couple of Idaho Clubs over the past two weekends. Holly Ledgerwood posted a 97 in the singles event at the Orofino Gun Club which won her the Lady title at the Saturday, June 13 event. POMEROY–The local gun club gain awards for fine shooting at the Colton, Culdesac and Walla Walla gun clubs this spring. Pomeroy Gun Club members have travelled around the Northwest in the last Month to several shoots and they have brought home some Hardware in the form of Trophies in doing so. POMEROY–Pomeroy Gun Club members held its annual awards and fun day at the Club on Sunday, March 28. The Club also had their annual meeting and Election of Officers. Most officers stayed the same with Travis Ledgerwood elected President, Terry John Vice President, Larry Bunch Treasurer, and Tracy Hanger replaced Bryan McKeirnan as Secretary. POMEROY–Seventeen local Gun Club members participated, at least in part, at the 2021 Camas Prairie Trap Shoot in Walla Walla over the March 19–21 weekend. The shoot featured 300 16-yard Targets, 300 Handicap Targets and 200 Doubles Targets over the three days. POMEROY–The big story for the seventh Camas Prairie shoot is again the weather; high winds and tough conditions. Even though, the Juniors had a fair day on Saturday but Sunday greeted the Senior members with a difficult climate environment. POMEROY–Strong winds hampered the fourth Camas Prairie Shoot for members of the local gun club, resulting in lower than average scores. Southeast winds on Sunday caused problems for the east facing trap machines making right hand targets go high and left flying targets driven down resulting some difficult conditions and poor scores. POMEROY–The first of the Camas Prairie 10-week shoot for the Pomeroy Gun Club launched the weekend of December 9–10. Using the new stipulations under the COVID–19 protocols, the start of the season was fairly successful. POMEROY–Local gun club enjoys beautiful fall weather and Bunch wins “B” Class trophy in Doubles at the Fall Shoot at Colton Gun Club on September 20. Five Pomeroy Gun Club members attended the Fall Shoot at Colton Gun Club Sunday. In the Singles event, Terry John and Larry Bunch both posted 93X100 scores. POMEROY–Several local Gun Club members participated in the Western Zone Shoot this past weekend at Colton Gun Club. Shooters who competed with one another in Colton also competed with shooters at 13 other Clubs throughout the Western United States and two Canadian Provinces. POMEROY–Several members of Pomeroy Gun Club ventured to Troy-Deary Gun Club over the Fourth of July Weekend for their annual shoot and managed to shoot some good scores while maintaining Social Distancing. On Saturday, Holly Ledgerwood lead the local contingent with a 97 x 100 in the singles event that won her the Lady II Trophy. IDAHO–Culdesac Gun Club in Idaho held its Registered Trap Shoot over the May 30-31 weekend and Robert Koller posted some very respectable scores over the two days. On Saturday Koller posted a 46 X 50 in Singles and a 47 X 50 in Handicap. His 47 tied him with Bruce Bradley of Orofino Gun Club for runner-up honors over the entire field of shooters. POMEROY–During the fourth Camas Prairie shoot, the Pomeroy Gun Club Junior Shooters battled high winds last Saturday and on Sunday, the Senior Club found a snowy background difficult to shoot over. Forty-eight shooters battled the conditions on Sunday and Wayne Tetrick and Robert DesJardin were the only shooters who managed perfect 25s for the weekend. POMEROY–The Pomeroy Gun Club will again participate in the Camas Prairie Telephonic Trap Shoot that will start this Saturday January 11 for Juniors and Sunday January 12 for Adults. The shoot will run for the usual 10 weeks and will culminate in 11 weeks with the Camas Prairie Trap Shoot in Walla Walla March 20-22. Junior Shooting will start on January 11 at 8 a.m. with a safety class and shooting to follow when that is completed.
