    POMEROY–The Garfield County board of commissioners (BOCC) passed a resolution, approved payment of Washington State Association of Counties dues, and discussed hay bids at their meeting on May 8. Bidding on the hay at the fairgrounds will be advertised soon. The buyer of the hay will be responsible for cutting and baling.     Ten Years Ago May 15, 2013 Pomeroy Elementary School's kindergarten class held a Mother's Day Tea on Thursday in the Elementary library, honoring mothers and grandmothers with handmade hats and gifts, iced tea and lemonade. Kindergarten teacher Elizabeth Waldher provided treats for the students and their guests.     POMEROY–The local School District approved a manager for the elementary roof project, decided to purchase a new bus, and passed a resolution at their meeting on April 24. The elementary roof project will be managed by Design West Architecture. Design West will create plans and design work, as well as management. The board will pay Design West $31,000.     POMEROY-The Port of Garfield County Commissioners agreed to pay the Garfield County Road Department for weed spraying and discussed the demolition of Warehouse 3 at their meeting on April 18. The Port will pay $1,480.20 to the County Road Department for spraying edges of the roads on Port property, mowing them, and applying a sterilant.     POMEROY-The Garfield County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) signed a lease agreement and passed a resolution at their meeting on April 24. The lease is for Inland Cellular's cell tower site at Dodge. It will allow Garfield County to place their repeater on the tower, which it more suitable than the current site.     POMEROY– The Pomeroy City Council accepted a bid for the summer seal coat project at a continuation of their monthly meeting on April 17. The low bid was provided by Idaho Asphalt at $85,233.75.     POMEROY–The Garfield County Transportation Authority (CTA) discussed electric vehicles and a rider incident at their meeting on April 17.     POMEROY–The Garfield County Public Health District (PHD)board passed two resolutions and discussed the You Are Heard survey at their meeting on April 17.     POMEROY–The Spring Farming Days was delayed due to wet ground at the Garfield County Fairgrounds on April 1 and 2. Recent rains imposed a halt to farming activities in the hay field when deemed too wet to plow on Saturday morning.
