    POMEROY–The Garfield County Transportation Authority (CTA) board changed a position from an hourly to a salaried pay schedule, and received updates on ongoing projects at their meeting on December 19. The pay schedule for the position of Operations Manager was changed from hourly to salaried, meaning that pay for the number of hours scheduled between paydays will be averaged so that the amount will be consistent between paychecks.     POMEROY–Brad Gingerich celebrated his retirement on December 15, at the Pomeroy Pharmacy, where he has worked for more than 45 years. The celebration was small and consisted mostly of regular customers and friends who stopped in for a brief moment to congratulate the couple.     POMEROY–The Garfield County Public Health District board passed several resolutions, including their 2023 budget, and discussed an ending grant as well as a new logo at their meeting on December 19.     POMEROY–The Port of Garfield County commissioners declined all bids received for the Northeast Garfield County optic fiber internet project, accepted a lease for a building, and discussed the Pataha fiber internet project at their meeting on December 6.
