POMEROY-The City Council announced the opening date of the Municipal Pool, held a public hearing, approved appointments to the Planning Commission, and discussed the Tennis Court retrofit according to the minutes of their June 4 meeting. POMEROY–Catherine Chalfant held the grand opening of The Curiosity Shop in the building that was formerly owned by Lewis and Clark Credit Union during Tumbleweed Weekend. POMEROY–The Eastern Washington Agricultural Museum's newly concreted parking lot brings the facility into compliance with ADA regulations. "We wanted to make it compliant for walkers and wheelchairs," said past EWAM president Patti Weaver. A large portion of the visitors to the Museum are elderly and they have found the gravel parking lot difficult to use. POMEROY–The Garfield County Hospital District board of commissioners decided to fund phase two of the electrical project and heard a cost report presentation at their meeting on May 6. The commissioners approved spending $278,500 to finish the electrical project, including funding all of phase two. POMEROY–The local branch of Four Star Supply has enlarged its service to include a tire shop and service center in the garage behind the Napa store. The new tire and service center has two new top-of-the-line lifts and an aligner, as well as a Hunter Hawkeye computer system.
