It seems the more money thrown at the so-called CO2 emissions and climate change scenarios propagated through the never-ending and ongoing climate-related programs instituted by Washington State has created a burden on the tax payer with less outcome. For those of us who manage our household and business budgets to glean the greatest outcome from the shrinking dollar, it’s time to look in a different direction, maybe even hand environmental conservation back to the people–along with their money. An article by Todd Myers, Vice President for Res...

Twice this week I have watched an elderly individual fade into the busy life in which we all live. One man just needed Panadol for his wife but the shop assistant simply said it’s in isle ‘6’. He struggled to navigate the supermarket traffic, going the wrong way in search of the item. As I watched him, I decided to leave my cart full of groceries to take him where he needed to go. Today, I watched an elderly man who had obviously fallen and left with a huge scrape and blood on his leg, struggle in the heat. He slowly walked past people in the c...

Continuing from December 12. Jim took a deep breath as he poured ipecac-spiked whiskey into glasses on the bar. He met June's fearful eyes as she arranged them on a tray and gave her a tiny smile. Behind her, the saloon was full of Deveney's gang. Jim gave her a nod, sending her off to the tables with another round of truly medicinal whiskey and took another deep breath. He hoped Moss knew what he was doing. Deveney's men had ridden into town the same as ever, running their horses straight down...
Washington State Patrol Chief John Batiste said “Our thoughts and prayers are extended to everyone who has been impacted by the recent events in both New Orleans and Las Vegas.” The heartless taking of innocent life, the causing of significant injuries, and the use of explosive violence have no place in our society. The Washington State Patrol appreciates the good work being done by local, state, and federal law enforcement in responding to and investigating both of these cases. We are especially appreciative of the two New Orleans Police Off...
