POMEROY–The Garfield County Fire District No. 1 commissioners held a special meeting to discuss repairs to the Medic 30 ambulance on March 15. The ambulance has had diagnostics run and is believed to have a cracked head. Any further diagnostics would require an engine tear down, which could cost upwards of $7,000. POMEROY–The Pomeroy City Council announced the retirement of Shaun Martin as City Clerk and Treasurer, and the Complete Streets project update at the meeting on March 8. Martin will retire in June and Diane Taylor will become the new City Clerk and Treasurer. The Complete Streets Project has begun work on the Denny Ashby Library sidewalk. POMEROY–The Port of Garfield County commissioners passed a resolution to clarify an RV Park rule at their meeting on March 15. Resolution 2022- No. 3 states that a camper who is not living at the Pataha Creek RV Park may camp for four weeks every 120 days. POMEROY–The Garfield County Health District approved amendments to the Department of Health consolidated contract at their meeting on March 21. The contract is valid from 2022 until 2024, and funding comes through the form of amendments. Resolution 2022-05 amends the contract by placing the maximum amount at $1,352,897.
