    By Connie Harris POMEROY–The Holy Rosary Church Faith Formation children raised $3,220 for the Ukraine Solidarity Fund which help war refugees with personal needs. The Holy Rosary Church Faith Formation children in Connie Harris and Bob Wolf's class decided to raise money to help the Ukraine refugees by making posters and appealing for money from the church parishioners.     WALLA WALLA–The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will place a ban on all alcohol at the Granite Point recreation site on Lower Granite Lake on May 27. Granite Point is a well-used recreation spot and has several natural and commercial dangers. Due to barge traffic, cliff jumping and swimming the narrow canyon channel are all prohibited.     POMEROY–The Garfield County board of commissioners (BOCC) signed inter-agency IT agreement, discussed July 4 fireworks and possible commercial policies for Fairgrounds RV sites at their meeting on May 23. The commissioners signed an inter-agency agreement with Inter Mountain Educational Service District for 2022-23 IT support.
