POMEROY-The City Council announced the opening date of the Municipal Pool, held a public hearing, approved appointments to the Planning Commission, and discussed the Tennis Court retrofit according to the minutes of their June 4 meeting. POMEROY–Catherine Chalfant held the grand opening of The Curiosity Shop in the building that was formerly owned by Lewis and Clark Credit Union during Tumbleweed Weekend. The shop specializes in antiques and crystals, and contains taxidermy as well. Chalfant has been working with antiques since 2008. POMEROY–The Garfield County Pioneer Association honored the Fellows family, descendants of Mayview pioneers William L. and Edna Fellows, at the 112th annual Garfield County Pioneer Day program on June 8.
