    POMEROY–The Garfield County board of commissioners (BOCC) authorized contracts, opened bids, and met with Unites States Forest Service officials at their meeting on June 27. Two contracts with the Washington State Military Department regarding Garfield County’s emergency management operations were signed.     POMEROY–Retired City Clerk and Treasurer Shaun Martin, has been at her post with the City for 22 years, and celebrated her retirement with council members, family, and friends on June 28. The City Council presented her with a beautiful photograph of Pomeroy to commemorate her years of dedicated work.     POMEROY–The Blue Mountain Artisan Guild (BMAG) is welcoming the next art show “Summer Sun” featuring adult artist Wendi Watson and the summer art class students at a reception in the gallery on July 7 at 5 p.m. The “Summer Sun” art show is sponsored by Meagan Tennant with her Farmhouse Faith Design.     The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation has opened the large Impact Grant Season. Large Impact Grants are intended for requests of $25,000 to $100,000. The large Impact Grant application is available on the Foundation’s website at lewisclarkhealth.org and are due by July 31.
