    POMEROY–Mat Slaybaugh will serve as the Garfield County Hospital District (GCHD) CEO following the resignation of Co-Chief Executive Officer Jayd Keener, the GCHD announced this week. The leadership change will be effective August 1, 2024. Keener resigns the position after five years of dedicated service as Co-CEO, the news release indicated.   • Pirate Youth Golf Camp is huge success

    POMEROY–The first Pirate Youth Golf Camp was held at Crystal Springs Golf Course for 14 young golfers on Jun 22 and 29. The Youth Golf Camp had 14 2nd-8th grade players who learned basic skills and safety for two hours each day. Working on Main Street for 20 years, I saw the hard-working people that kept Pomeroy alive and well.
