POMEROY–The Port of Garfield County commissioners approved a procedures resolution, adopted a state-approved mileage rate, and discussed warehouse No. 3 at their meeting on July 19. Resolution 2022-4 defines what public work and procurement procedures the Port follows, such as how to go out to bid and whether a project needs to be sent out to bid or done off the small works roster. POMEROY-The Garfield County Fire District commissioners discussed funding at their meeting on July 12, according to minutes. The Fire District has received a Ground Emergency Medical Transportation payment of $57,741.73 and a Department of Health Trauma grant for $1,125. POMEROY–The Pomeroy Youth Basketball organization announces the inaugural 10,000 Shot Club started this week July 25. POMEROY–The Pirate Swim Team competed in two meets this week on Thursday July 21, placing third against Colfax and Pullman in a meet held at the Colfax pool, and took first place at the Tuesday, July 19, meet against Garfield-Palouse-Oakesdale-Plummer (GPOP) held here.
