    POMEROY–The Port of Garfield County commissioners created a committee to evaluate insurance options at their meeting on October 19. Chairman Ed Crawford and Port employee Tina Keller are the committee members.     POMEROY–Garfield County will hold a free chipper day for country residents at the old rock pit located off Gould City-Mayview Road on Saturday, November 6 at 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Material that can be discarded at this location is clean yard and garden debris, pine needles, leaves, limbs and small logs (up to 15 inches).     POMEROY–The Garfield County Health District board announced the success of an apple taste test for grade school children set up by Coordinator Jessica Nelson at the Pomeroy High School cafeteria at their meeting on October 25.
