POMEROY–Local FFA members have participated in Rangland and Soils/Land Evaluation contests in Sprague, St. John, Steptoe, Deer Park, and Moses Lake events as recently as this month. Pirate team captain Taylor Gilbert, the WIAA/GESA Athlete of the Week, had great outings during the sixth week of the 2024 volleyball season, helping the Lady Pirates win two straight-set matches against Waitsburg on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and at Colton on Thursday, Oct. 10.
