    POMEROY–Spinners is again hosting a Community Thanksgiving at Maple Hall on November 26 between 12-1 p.m. However, COVID has made us all rethink how we do things and with the recent spike in numbers within our community, dinner will be served up differently.     POMEROY––Garfield County's General Fund and County Road District tax assessment may increase 1%, raising the liability to $1,652,584 and change. The Garfield County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) were notified of the current property tax valuation increase for property in Garfield County by the Assessor's Office.     POMEROY–A policy to track capital purchases over $5,000 with a life expectancy of more than one year as well as any small and attractive assets valued $1,000–$5,000 was approved by the Garfield County Fire District (GCFD) board at the November 10 meeting. Fire Chief James Cleveland indicated he has been unable to find any evidence or documentation such a policy exits.     Norman G. Martin June 12, 1925–October 18, 2020 Norman Glenn Martin passed away at home with his son and daughter at his side on October 18, 2020, in Lewiston, Id. He was 95 years YOUNG. Norman's home had been in Pomeroy, Wash., for 63 years, but he recently had moved to Lewiston.
