    POMEROY– The Pomeroy City Council passed a levy certification, ordinance 924, 923; resolutions 2021-7 and 2021-8; and signed Keller Associates agreement at the meeting on December 7. The City approved a levy certification to increase the property tax by 1% in the amount of $187,743.47. This also includes new construction and state utilities numbers that are part of the levy.     POMEROY–The City Council approved the 2022 budget during the December 7 meeting which includes a $4 monthly water and sewer rate increase, respectively. The Council approved the 2022 budget and $4 monthly rate increase for water and sewer. The resulting City revenue will be used to support necessary improvements to the water and sewer system.     POMEROY–The Port of Garfield County commissioners announced that they have been awarded a Federal Public Works grant at their meeting on December 7. The grant is for $3,800,000 with no match required from the Port, and will be used for the Northeast Garfield County fiber project. Woody, 88, passed peacefully from this world Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at Prestige Care and Rehabilitation Center in Clarkston with two daughters and a granddaughter by his side.
