    POMEROY–The Garfield County Public Health District announced they will place personal hygiene kits in the county, and passed a resolution at their meeting on March 20. Personal hygiene kits, containing items such as shampoo, toothbrushes, and soap, will be made available at locations in Garfield County, particularly focused on emergency situations such as the Food Bank and the Garfield County Memorial Hospital.     POMEROY–The 2023 League Season concluded for the Pomeroy Gun Club (PGC) on Sunday March 26 with an annual day of shooting games, potluck and barbecue, and the annual business meeting with election of officers.     POMEROY–Firefighting units from Garfield County Fire District 1, Columbia County Fire Districts 1, and 3; and Columbia/Walla Walla joint District 2, responded to a barn fire at the Robert and Ruth Yutzy place at 410 Emerson Road here, late Monday morning, March 20, 2023.
