    POMEROY–The Garfield County Health District has received two large grants, administrator Martha Lanman announced at their meeting on November 22. A grant from South East Washington Alliance for Health in the amount of $370,000 is designated for Covid-19 vaccine use, as well as other pandemic related funding gaps.     POMEROY–The Garfield County board of commissioners (BOCC) approved resolutions 2021-20 and 2021-21 which increases the tax levy rate by 1% at the November 22 meeting. Resolution 2021-20 applied to the general levy and increased by $7,872.79 for a total of $801,403.86 to be collected.     POMEROY–The Port of Garfield County board of commissioners accepted the ZeroDB bid for design work on the Pataha fiber project at their meeting on November 2. The company was the only bidder and the accepted bid was for $30,000 flat fee, with subsequent work not to exceed $10,000.
