    POMEROY–Quilt of Valor veteran honoree J. D. Morrow enlisted in the Navy in January, 1971, and went to boot camp training in San Diego, Calif., from June through August, 1971.     Garfield County Hospital District (GHCD) is proud to announce April's Employee of the Month, Phoenix Kinsall, who was nominated by her co-workers for being a valued employee and a dedicated worker. Phoenix was born in Denver, Colo. She lived in several different states growing up, including Alaska, Colorado, and Oregon, but most of her school years were spent living in Aumsville, Ore.     Jason George Kuhn died in Yakima Wash., at the age of 83 on June 9, 2022. Jason was born on October 18, 1938 in Pomeroy Wash. He graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1956 and went on to attend Washington State University where he graduated in 1962 with a B.S. in Soils Mechanics/Geology. Jason and his sisters enjoyed growing up on the Kuhn brothers Herford Ranch. He was a good-natured brother who liked to tease his two sisters often and play practical jokes.     POMEROY–The Farmer's Market held in Pomeroy City Park held their first gathering of the summer on June 8. Booths sold fruit and vegetables-both produce and plants, handcrafted goods, and pies.
