POMEROY––Appaloosa Solar Project LLC has posted a notice of application with Garfield County Planning for a proposed solar farm that would be constructed in Garfield County, about 13 miles northwest of Pomeroy, on leased land between Highway 12 and the Snake River. Over 60 items were donated for both live and silent auction, ranging from a set of hand lotion to a homemade tractor quilt. Pomeroy High School Senior Hannah Bagby recently spearheaded a drive for toiletry items to benefit members of the Pomeroy and Garfield County community through Pomeroy Assist. Bagby and other generous individuals in the community provided some 23 families and 64 children with gifts that made their wishes come true. DAYTON–After a short-lived shutdown, Ski Bluewood opened the day after Christmas to skiers and snowboard riders, operating on limited terrain and runs. Ski Bluewood welcomed skiers and riders for the 2023-2024 skiing season and celebrated the three guests who were in line for the first chair. The area opened with limited runs due to early season conditions on Thursday, December 14, with caution urged because of those conditions.
