After the squad was done, blustery weather with snow squalls blew in and made the day much more difficult for other shooters. The youth shooters had fair conditions on Saturday, but a...

  • Erratic east winds present challenges

    Larry Bunch|Feb 8, 2024

POMEROY– A fairly-stiff east wind caused some erratic target flight preventing gun club shooters from breaking a perfect 25 during week four of the Camas Prairie Association competition. East winds are difficult since the Traps face that direction so shooters have the breeze right in their faces. On Saturday Rowdy Cole continued his good shooting in the 12-year-old and under division with a 22X25 score to lead the 16-Yard competition. Rowdy also led in the Handicap event with a score of 21.
