POMEROY–Camas Prairie Shoot participants enjoyed spring like weather during the tenth and final week of competition and it was reflected in the scores. The Junior Club had beautiful calm weather on Saturday March 13 and they made the most of such good conditions. POMEROY––The Pirate Cross Country team counted many personal records on its way to a fourth-place finish at the XC Championships held here Wednesday, March 10. The 3.1-mile course at the Pomeroy Golf Course was covered by Pirate Nick Vendeland in 20:50 for a 10th place finish, and teammate Cash Copher wasn't far behind in 14th place with a time of 21:48. This fourth-quarter, diving touchdown was Trent Gwinn's (13) fifth of the day as he and Colton Slaybaugh teamed up in the 56-6 rout of Tekoa-Rosalia last week in Rosalia. Gwinn was unstoppable in the second quarter, scoring all four of Pomeroy's touchdowns and helping lead the team to its third win. POMEROY–Strong winds hampered the fourth Camas Prairie Shoot for members of the local gun club, resulting in lower than average scores.
