POMEROY–Sunday’s Camas Prairie Shoot was challenging to say the least. The weather was sporadic with occasional pauses in the wind mixed with extremely strong gusts and rain. Club scores suffered with no 25s. Travis Ledgerwood and Mason Blachly both had a great day shooting 23s during singles and a 24s during handicap. LEWISTON–On Saturday February 1, 2020, the Pomeroy Jr. High Wrestling team traveled to Lewiston to wrestle at the Jenifer Tournament. The first wrestling meet of the year and the only home meet that the Jr. High wrestlers got to host this year was January 22. The wrestlers performed very well in front of a large home crowd, with teams including Colfax Jr. High and Sacajawea Jr. High (Lewiston). The wrestlers were very nervous for the first match, but everyone wrestled to the best of their ability, which is all a coach can ask. The Pirate Jr. High A team played its first games of the season. Due to the weather cancelling early games, we played three games within a week’s time. Our two games next week are home against Colfax on February 3 and at Tekoa against Tekoa/Rosalia on February 6. Our first game was against Colfax. It was a tough first game to start our year as they are a really good team and we were on the road with a lot of our girls playing on the A team for the first time.
