CHEWELAH–Three Pomeroy High School cross country competitors ran their best at a District 7 All-League Meet here Saturday, September 28. Pirate Evan Bartels finished sixty-sixth in the field of 107 with a time of 21:01, with teammates Cash Copher coming in 98th in 25:27 and Aidan Knuteson 99th in 25:33. POMEROY–The Middle School Girls basketball team lost to Colton in the A Squad game 35-25, and lost 34-17 in the B Squad game. “This was an exciting game to coach,” said Co-Coach Jessica Wolf. “The girls came out ready to play. POMEROY–The Junior High Football team were excited to open the first game of the season, after the Garfield County Fair, at Tekoa-Rosalia at a rescheduled game on September 16. They came out playing hard with a long touchdown pass from Jett Slusser to Walker Flynn on the first from scrimmage.
