POMEROY–The Pirates held off St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse 57-47 here Friday, then traveled to Palouse Saturday where they fell 51-35 to the Vikings. Pomeroy is now 1-3 overall, 1-1 in league.
The Pirates faced DeSales Tuesday and will journey to Oakesdale Friday before breaking for Christmas.
Gar-Pal's Vikings clamped down on Pirate Trent Gwinn, and kept Pomeroy off balance, allowing only six field goals. Byron Stallcop picked up some of the slack, scoring four buckets and five gifters. The Pirates scored 20 from the free-throw line.
