Gary R. McClanahan

June 18, 1955 -November 26, 2019

Gary Robert McClanahan died November 26, 2019, after suffering a stroke.

Gary was born to Bob and Barbara Huffman McClanahan in Spokane, Wash. on June 18, 1955. The family moved to Pomeroy in 1960. He attended Pomeroy schools, graduating in 1973. He moved to Spokane later and worked various jobs, retiring early after becoming disabled.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Bob, his brother, Daryl, and grandparents Herman and Alith Huffman and Harvey and Susie McClanahan.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara McClanahan, his brother Wayne, sister Melody Darby, brother in-law John Hirsch, and nephews Troy and Jacob Hirsch. He is also survived by his Aunt Melba Brinnon, several cousins, and three life-long friends who were always very special to him; Jim and Carole Jones, and Dave Johnson.

Cremation has already taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
