POMEROY–Hi my name is Conrad Nelson and I am the Blue Ribbon 4-H club reporter. The Blue Ribbon 4-H club was called to order by Carolina Morfin on December 15 at 4 p.m., at Justin Warrens Shop. Activities that we did included; Electing officers and organized committees, worked on Record Books and did a White Elephant Gift exchange. First, we elected officers. The officers for the Blue Ribbon 4-H club are Carolina Morfin is President, Molly Warren is Vice President, Secretary is Tyler Dixon, Robby Wolf is treasurer, and Reporter is Conrad Nelson.
We then organized committees and parent leads. The Fundraising Committee with Lynette Cochran as the parent lead and Molly Warren as the chair. The Community Service committee with Matt Newburg as the parent lead and Nolan Newburg as the Chair. The Stock Show Committee with Amy Ledgerwood as the parent lead and Colby Ledgerwood as the chair.
Next, we worked on record books. There were some new pages that would help keep our feed balances and weights more organized. We also have a new page to write about our demonstration. Then, we had a white elephant gift exchange. I got candy kisses and a Pezz dispenser. It was very fun to give gifts.
Finally, the next meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on January 19 at the High School. We will be getting certified in Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA).
