POMEROY–The Pirate boys' post-season play involves the Touchet versus St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse game, postponed from last Saturday due to flooding, and rescheduled for Tuesday night in Touchet.
A Touchet win would give Pomeroy sole possession of fourth but an SJEL win would set up a Pomeroy-SJEL playoff game, set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, in Colton. Visit eastwashingtonian.com for the breaking information.
Either the Pirates or SJEL will face GarPal 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at Palouse, to kick off the District 9 1B Tournament, which concludes Feb. 12-22 at WWCC.
The Pirates hosted the Vikings for the final regular-season game, losing 55-38, finishing the season 5-7 in league, 5-14 overall.
"We played really hard tonight and had great stretches," said Head Coach Chris Wolf.
Trent Gwinn had a good shooting night going 9-16 from the floor for a game-high 20 points, rallying the Pirates with four consecutive buckets in the third stanza after GP scored off four straight turnovers. "We were unable to overcome the deficit," Wolf said.
GarPal scored 38 of 55 points off of turnovers and second chance points, Wolf said. "That was the difference in tonight's game."
