Pomeroy faithful urged to join National Day of Prayer

POMEROY–National Day of Prayer is held on the first Thursday of May as it has since 1952. This year it is May 7. Residents of Garfield County are encouraged to join other citizens across the nation in praying for our country.

At least one-hundred members of Pomeroy’s churches will join those across the nation of all faiths to pray for our nation. In the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic, this seems a most important course of action.

In the past many local events have taken place to observe the day. This year folks are encouraged to pray keeping in mind the safety parameters in place regarding the virus.
