Local linksmen were tuning up for the upcoming Night Golf Scramble at the Pomeroy Golf Course this month, as captured by the East Washingtonian lens on a sultry August evening last week.
POMEROY–The 2nd Annual Night Golf Scramble is held at the local golf course on August 29. Check in begins at 8:30 p.m. and teams will tee off at 9 p.m.
Again, community members and visitors have a chance to participate in a two-person golf scramble and proceeds from the fundraiser go to the Pirate High School Boys Basketball team. Golfers are asked to bring their own glow or LED ball; there may be a few golf balls for purchase.
Spots will be limited due to social distancing and safety. If participants do not have a golf pass or season ticket, daily rates will apply.
