POMEROY–Allyson Shaffer was recently selected as February Student of the Month sponsored by Switzer Engineering Laboratory and presented with a certificated by Anne Walsh of Puget Sound Energy. Shaffer is considered helpful, responsible, honorable and kind by her teacher Mrs. Wolf and 7th grade classmates who nominated her for this award.
Allyson is helpful and positive in school and shows PRIDE by being helpful to students and makes an effort to talk to students in the hallways. She is showing pride in her school by going out for Cross Country and working hard. Her Independence shows through taking responsibility for herself, working hard to do her very best in making sure things are accurately done. She demonstrates Respect through her kind, sweet and helpful nature; helping those in need, making it easier or better for that individual.
She brings a very positive Attitude in everything, with just a bit of sass in the mix. Allyson extends her optimistic attitude in caring of others and her general outlook of life. She builds confidence of others by being Trustworthy. If someone tells her something, you can trust her to not spread rumors. She keeps things very private. If she is asked to accomplish a task, you can trust that she will get it done. She is also known to give a fair and honest opinion.
Allyson is known for her great Effort in all she does, especially in Cross Country. She always tries hard to do well. Most of all, she will Show Kindness by making a point to engage all her peers as she walks down the hallway, generating smiles and laughter or just taking time to helps others before heading off to class herself. She is a very kind person.
