POMEROY–The Washington State University (WSU) Mayview Crop Variety Trial at the Koller farm on Tramway Road is scheduled for June 30 at 10 a.m. In addition, the WSU Winter Pea and Cereal Grain Variety tour to discuss winter peas as a rotational crop will be at the winter pea plots off highway 12 west of Pomeroy at 8:30 a.m.
The annual WSU Mayview Crop Variety Trial, located at the Koller farm on Tramway Road northeast of Pomeroy and led by Clark Neely of WSU Crop and Soil Sciences Department, will feature winter wheat, spring wheat and barley variety trials.
The winter pea and cereal gran variety tour is located west of Pomeroy off of Highway 12. Take a right at Vannaton Grade Road and proceed approximately 2.1 miles. The discussion there will be led by Sarah Hallyburton, WSU Crop and Soil Sciences Department graduate student; and Steve Van Vleet, WSU Extension Regional Agronomist.
