eli will permanently close its 847 Main Street establishment as of August 23, 2021.
Owners of Palace Meats and Deli, Al and Vickie Damon, opened the quaint local eatery opened for business on July 13, 2020 amidst the COVID pandemic. They served eight sandwiches made from their homemade specialties of sausages, pulled pork, smoked turkey, smoky braised tri-tip and house-made bacon. They included in the mix side salads and bread from the Walla Walla Bread Company.
Now with “circumstances beyond their control,” they will close, but not without heaping helping of gratitude. “It has been a pleasure and privilege serving our customers and the community,” said Al and Vickie Damron. “We acknowledge SEWEDA for their help and encouragement; without it we would not have survived this long.”
They also request those who have unredeemed gift certificates to please bring them in and use them before August 23, or call 509-254-1629 or 509-552-6396 if unable to use them.
The area will miss this take-out or sit-in deli place that served the community throughout the pandemic.
