LEWISTON–Three Pirate cross country runners competed well at a District 7/9 South League Meet at LCSC in Lewiston September 28.
Last Tuesday, the team heads to Colfax to compete against the same field, then on Saturday, October 9, returns to the LCSC course for the Inland Empire Meet. On the schedule is an October 12 meet at St. John, start time 4 p.m.
Samuel Lamb, Brady Bott and Cash Copher showed decent times over the 3.1-mile course at LCSC.
Lamb, a junior, finished 24th out of 35 with a time of 22:27 to lead Pirate runners.
There were five other runners between Lamb and Bott, who finished 30th with a 23:53 mark, with Copher right on his heels with a 24:00 time.
Middle School Buccaneer runners were 14th place Baby Johnson with a 15:49 time in the 1.5-mile MS course, with teammate Haven Kimble close behind at 15:53.
MS Pirate boys were led by Evan Thomas, who was 15th out of 34 with a time of 11:43 for the 1.5-mile run. Pirate Oscar Dispenza was 25th in 13:15 and 33rd was Ismael Arteaga in 20:57.
