POMEROY– The Garfield County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) signed an Emergency Management Performance Grant Agreement with the Washington State Military Department at their meeting on December 13. The grant of $28, 015 will be used for equipment and to help pay wages in the Emergency Management department.
The board also signed a staffing and cost reimbursement agreement with Pac Soleil, LLC for the proposed Appaloosa Solar Project, which is still in application stage. The agreement states the amount that Garfield County will charge Pac Soleil, LLC for the proposed work. A revolving account will be created with $10,000 as a base amount. Further funds will be added as necessary.
An inter-local agreement with Asotin County for election services was also signed, allowing Garfield County residents who fall into the Clarkston school district to vote in Asotin County school elections.
The BOCC also signed a resolution to certify the levy for all taxing districts in Garfield County.
Garfield County Road Crew Chief Rodney Norland released the 2021 snow plow policy, which states the priorities of road plowing as Emergency, School Bus Routes, Mail Routes, and then County Roads.
