Aspiring artist's show seeks entries

POMEROY–The Blue Mountain Artisan Guild (BMAG) will sponsor this winter's art show "Potpourri", an all artist showing of hodgepodge wares, beginning in January.

The BMAG has opted to provide a venue and an opportunity for talented new, any age, one-time, apprehensive, craft artists, to show one of their creations to the public during January and February exhibition. "Our next show is going to be...kind of an anything goes as what is displayed," says Linda McKeirnan, BMAG Vice President. "It is a way for anyone, of any age, to bring in one item they have made, whether it is a photo, painting, quilt, craft, wood work, pottery, whatever, for display or sale, on a first come, first serve basis, at no charge."

The gallery will continue to exhibit existing artists, already on display in the gallery through the Potpourri show, if they wish to remain.

A reception is planned for the Potpourri show on January 6. The end of December is the deadline for entries.

Come join us in supporting these aspiring artists.
