Gliding around Pomeroy recently, the East Washingtonian lens captured some of this lovely town's nicest Christmas displays...prior to the arrival of this week's fluffy white stuff.
A mid-1950s Plymouth Savoy–the real deal...definitely not a blow-up lawn figure –graces this Main Street window, along with garlands of gold tinsel, a plush reindeer and colorful Christmas tree. Even the fuzzy dice hanging from the rear-view mirror are red to mark the Christmas season.
Residents and patients at the Garfield County Hospital are cheered by the imaginative lawn decor at the Hospital's Rest Home Courtyard. Of course, there's Slink, complete with a Santa hat, and the Gingerbread Man soaking in the Hot Cocoa Hot Tub, along with a couple marshmallows, and last, but not least, the Jolly Ol' Elf, who is checking his list–twice–for names of children both naughty and nice.
