POMEROY–The Garfield County board of commissioners (BOCC) approved Pomeroy Assist’s request for first quarter funding at their meeting on January 10. The money will come out of the Homeless Housing fund and is a quarter of the total funding budgeted.
The BOCC also passed resolution 2022-02 to re-certify the levies for all taxing districts to include the City of Pomeroy’s levy.
In addition, the commissioners read a letter received from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife in response to their letter requesting an extended cougar hunt. WDFW responded saying they would keep the county informed on seasonal closure decisions.
