POMEROY–The Garfield County Public Health District passed Resolution 2022-01, 2022-02; approved the return of $183,000 and elected officers at the January 24, 2021 board meeting.
The Health District passed two resolutions, 2022-01 to terminate the inter-local agreement with Columbia County for Care Connect Administration Services, and 2022-02, an amendment to extend the Environmental Health Services contract with Asotin County Health District to December 2022.
Administrator Martha Lanman requested board approval to return $183,000 of Foundation of Public Health Services money received in November. Lanman stated that she did not believe the Health District would use it in light of other funding received. She urged returning the funds to allow them to be used in other counties, as well as to remain in good standing with the FPHS. The board approved the return.
In addition, the board continued Jim Nelson in his two-year position as Chair, County Commissioner Justin Dixon was re-elected to serve as vice-chair, Board Member Laura Dixon was appointed by Chairman Nelson to remain Administrator’s Assistant, and County Commissioners Dixon, Larry Ledgerwood, and Jim Nelson were appointed to remain as Public Health’s finance committee.
