POMEROY–The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office was called upon during the month for the following issues: Abandon vehicle, alcohol offense, animal bite, animal noise, animal problem, assault, criminal mischief, death, dog complaint, DUI, fraud, intoxication, Jail transport, lost property, runaway juvenile, sex offense, threatening, and a traffic stop.
They experienced two calls of each of the following: non-injury accident, alarm, civil problem communications, domestic violence, drugs, noise complaint, unsecured premise, order violation and wildlife.
The department had three call each on found property, mental health and theft; four calls each on civil standby, fire, suspicious, traffic offense, and transfer; five each of disabled vehicle, public assistance, traffic hazard, and wanted person; six each of agency assist and information; seven welfare checks; eight 911 misdials, 12 utility problem, and 13 ambulance calls through the month of January 2022.
