PNW access to seed varieties expanding

COLFAX–The McGregor Company and Pendleton Grain Growers are joining forces to expand access to seed varieties for Pacific Northwest growers. The addition of PGG Seed to the McGregor Seed Division in late July brought a seasoned staff with a combined 90 years of experience as well as a long-standing history of commitment and quality; traits that align with the McGregor Company’s dedication to farm families, the environment, and the communities they serve.

“The McGregor Company has a long commitment to growers in the Pacific Northwest and in Oregon. We are thrilled to be able to shepherd the long history of quality seed production which PGG Seed has been known for over 50 years” said Ian McGregor, President of The McGregor Company. “For us The Pacific Northwest is home, and we look forward to continuing to grow for the future of PNW Agriculture. Our mission will be to continue to provide top quality seed, great service and be in the forefront of future innovations” added Mike Anderson, McGregor Seed Manager.

The McGregor Company will continue to operate the PGG Seed plant at McKennon Station under the PGG Seed name with all current employees. The joining of these two businesses will further buoy the standard for quality seed and service that has become a trademark characteristic of McGregor Seed.
