POMEROY-The Garfield County Transportation Authority voted to create full time bus driver positions and discussed the design of a proposed new building at their meeting on May 9.
Two positions of full-time bus drivers will be opened. Each will require 35 hours a week and are expected to be filled in house. The additional time can be used to provide at least one more day available to take shoppers over to Lewiston and Clarkston.
RPW Structural Engineering has been hired to create the design for the building the CTA will share with Garfield County Public Works. The building will be located at the property where the current Public Works office is.
In place of the cancelled Subaru acquisition that was discussed at their last meeting, the CTA has ordered a Chevrolet Traverse. It does not have a delivery date yet. The cost of the vehicle is $15,000 less than the Subaru so the CTA have ordered a few bells and whistles to accompany it, including all-weather mats.
