For our senior project, we decided to redo a target at the Pomeroy Gun Club. We decided to take out one of the old targets that was falling over and torn up and replace it with all new components. To start, we began removing the old target and obtaining the new posts and plywood which was donated by the Pomeroy Gun Club. We were able to construct the target in one day, but had to return later due to weather and having to paint it. We both have been involved with the 10-week shoot hosted by the Gun Club, and we wanted to give a little back to the program. Many people around the Pomeroy community hunt, so we thought this project would work great for the community and its use. We have been suggested this project by many people who frequently use the rifle range and we understand how much having a new target would benefit the Gun Club and its use.
