Ranes and Wolf hired as assistant coaches

POMEROY–The Pomeroy School District Board of Directors hired two assistant coaches, approved WIAA membership renewal, PSD Counseling Program Transition Plan, and three out of field teaching placements at their meeting on June 23.

The board hired Hannah Ranes as assistant High School and assistant Jr. High volley ball coach. Ranes played college-level volleyball and is living in the community. They also hired Ryan Wolf as assistant High School boys’ basketball coach. Wolf played basketball for Columbia Basin Community College and was a manager for the Washington State University boys’ basketball team.

The board approved PSD’s Counseling Program Transition Plan, a state required formal document of what the school is doing to meet students’ mental health needs. The directors also approved renewal of PSD’s Washington Interscholastic Activities Association membership, as well as out of field teaching placements for Fred Knebel to teach Weights, Kristina Knebel to teach Spanish, and Tammy Domras to teach Publications.
