County to discuss land purchase from DFW

POMEROY–The Garfield County Commissioners (BOCC) handled a number of business items, including setting a meeting with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to discuss a proposed purchase of land at their meeting on July 25.

Commissioners will meet with representatives of the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to discuss a proposed purchase of land along the Mountain Road on August 8 at 3 p.m. They will take public comments at that time.

In other business, the BOCC signed an authorization letter and received American Rescue Plan Act fund use requests. The letter authorizes certain employees to obtain and manage credit cards according to policy approved earlier this year. The credit limit was set at $250,000.

The BOCC received requests for ARPA fund use from the Garfield County Food Bank and Garfield County Health District. The Food Bank requested replacement for their back door and threshold and submitted a quote for $3,125.96. The Health District requested purchasing Automated External Defibrillators, submitting a quote for $19,100. Both requests were placed on a list for consideration.

The BOCC meetings on August 1 and 8, will begin at 1 p.m.
