POMEROY–National Night Out, an evening of law-enforcement and community relationship building, was held at the Pomeroy City Park on August 2. Ambulances, fire trucks, police cruisers, and a Life-Flight helicopter were opened for examination by the public. Games of bingo and a bouncy house provided entertainment, and community organizations and entities such as the Garfield County Hospital District and Pomeroy Partners for Healthy Families set up booths where they provided information and giveaways. A Garfield County fire engine gave rides around town to kids.
