HOSPITAL UPDATE

It's been a while since we sent out a hospital update and we wanted to share our latest information.

The project to improve the electrical infrastructure in the original hospital building is still moving forward. We are preparing to order all the electrical equipment soon so that it will be here in time for construction; however, the generator may be delayed for 65 weeks, and the rest of the equipment could be delayed for 32-45 weeks which may push the completion of construction out to 2024. The electrical project has been designed and sized so that it can handle any future expansions.

In the month of September, we had Department of Health surveys for the lab, clinic, and vaccine/immunization program. All of them passed with flying colors. We are very proud of the great work the lab and clinic staff did in preparation for these surveys!

Marybella "Bella" Dodson, NP started working at the clinic on September 6. We are very excited to have her join our team.

We will be having a county-wide emergency preparedness drill on October 19 that will focus on an evacuation of our patients in the event of a heating system failure.

The Hospital District will be holding flu and COVID booster vaccine clinics at the fairgrounds every Friday in October. It's best if you call the health district to schedule but walk-ins are welcome.
