POMEROY–The Garfield County Public Health District announced the opening of a community survey, passed two resolutions, and signed a previously approved memorandum of understanding with the Recovery Navigator Program at their meeting on February 27.
The You Are Heard survey, gathering input from the community on improving understanding, community collaboration, access, and awareness, opened on February 27 with both an online and paper submission option. The data from the survey will be combined with data from one-on-one interviews and focus groups that will be conducted in the future. All data is expected to be gathered by May 1. The data will be used to create a GCPHD improvement plan that is expected to be drafted next year.
The District passed resolution 2023-03, approving a policy to allow community participation compensation for time and services. No specific numbers were included, instead the compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis. The second resolution passed, resolution 2023-04, allocates $3,000 for the purchase, advertising and distribution of vouchers from a local vendor for compensating interview and focus groups, as well as raffles at the discrimination of Administrator Martha Lanman, in the You Are Heard survey.
A memorandum of understanding that made GCPHD a member of the Recovery Navigator Program was signed. The memorandum was approved in 2022.
