GCHD rules changing with ending of federal public health emergency

POMEROY–The Garfield County Hospital District board of directors announced the ending of the Covid-19 public health emergency and listed a van as surplus at their meeting on March 6.

The federal public health emergency related to Covid-19 will end on March 11. The effect the ending will have on the Garfield County Memorial Hospital will be the ending of a standing order for Covid-19 testing in the Hospital parking lot, charges on all non-state provided vaccines and booster shots, and an end to pandemic-related regulations regarding personal protection equipment.

The board of directors listed a 2004 Chrysler minivan with handicap equipment as surplus. It is valued at no less than $6,000. A van to replace the 2004 Chrysler has arrived.
