POMEROY–The Garfield County board of commissioners (BOCC) tentatively approved a letter, and discussed a bid for a belly dump trailer at their meeting on March 20.
The BOCC approved the signing of a letter of approval, pending viewing by Garfield County Prosecutor Matt Newberg. The letter is from Pac Soleil, requesting approval of reassignment of their rights, title, and interest to Appaloosa Solar Project, in regards to a staffing and cost reimbursement agreement with the county that was signed in December of 2021. If the letter meets with Prosecutor Newberg's approval, Chairman Justin Dixon will sign it.
A bid from Hawk Equipment Company in the amount of $60,781.84 for a cross gate, belly dump trailer was discussed and tabled to allow time to investigate some missing paperwork.
The commissioners also received a letter from Superior Judge Brooke Burns discussing the superior court administrator's salary, and questioning the accuracy of caseload numbers. The numbers are being reviewed. The BOCC also made an offer to a potential engineer.
