POMEROY–The Garfield County board of commissioners (BOCC) announced that Central Ferry bridge will be closed for traffic, accepted a quote for indexing software, and passed resolutions at their meeting on March 27.
The bridge at Central Ferry will be closed from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., on Friday, March 31.
The commissioners accepted a quote from Tyler Tech for $16,530, for purchase and installation of software to index and search BOCC historical documents, including minutes and resolutions. The documents are currently being scanned to create digital files for the software. Continued use of the software will cost $9,800 annually. The expense is budgeted for under the historical document preservation fund.
Two resolutions were passed, both pertaining to equipment rental rates. Resolution 2023-07 establishes rental rates for 2022, for use in reimbursement applications, and resolution 2023-08 establishes them for 2023. The rates are based on federal equipment rental rates.
